Protecting Birds

Birds only can visit your yard if they fee they are very much secure in your yard. It’s not only over after installing bird houses in yard. There should be proper security measures in respect to predators. Birds find it very difficult if predators try to make their eatable. Plenty of predators wonder in the yard it’s very hard to keep bird away from them. One they make bird their eatable they used to keep in search everyday for same. So it’s becomes there routine to eat birds.

One can hang the bird house to the pole. So it becomes very hard for predator to catch the birds at this height. It is good practice to coat the poles with a petroleum jelly. Dogs are very bad predators, one has to keep tight their dog at one place, don’t allow them to wonder in yard. If they bight the bird in minute bird will die. Squirrel very dangerous for birds, Squirrels can find way any where so keeping bird house mesh very tiny is the best option. Entrance hole of the bird house should have to be smaller so that squirrel can’t enter inside. Applying metal sheet over entrance can avoid Squirrel, from entering inside the hole.  Raccoons and opossums are critical in strategy, they pulled out the baby, young or eggs from nest. To avoid them fixing predator guard can only work.

Snakes can’t reach on pole so it is good to keep nest on pole. Coat Vaseline or hot red cayenne pepper to the pole it avoids snake from reaching at that distance. House Sparrows and Starlings Many Insects drop their egg inside the nest of bird which may be of moths, wasps, ants or bees. So one has to keep eye on the nest and always make it clean whenever one find such insect inside the nest. House Wrens punctuate the eggs of birds for interfering in their growth.  Every one whether it is animal or bird always in search of food material for their self. Birds grow in our premises so it’s our responsibility to protect them from all dimensions.

Protecting baby bird in backyard

It is big challenge to protect baby bird from predators in the backyards.  Baby bird can prone to any disease. All security measures should be properly implemented. As baby bird unable to fly at early stages, nest should be provided to them for shelter. Baby bird should also be provided with food material. Buy the best material from market and keep it in feeder. Feeder should be of good quality so that elder bird didn’t eat it.

According to season arrangement has to be done. In winter warm bird house should be making available to them. Everything should be kept at nearest distance from house. It is very good practice if food, water provided in nest itself. Bird house entrance should be smaller so that no other predator can enter inside. Only should enter inside. Baby Bird should get company of their parents every time.

Proper arrangement to avoid predator access nest have to make. Snake are dangerous animal which can eat baby birds in one stoke. Nest of bird must be hanged on pole so that snake didn’t reach there. Pole should be coated with Vaseline even if snake try to reach their, will fall down. Squirrel trouble too much baby birds, it can reach anywhere wherever bird make the nest. There is only one solution to it, proper tiny fencing should be done at outer part and entrance whole should be too small so that only bird can enter inside. It is bad practice to keep bird house on the ground, any crawling animal can easily make their food to birds. Dog are kinds of animal who can eat bird in one stroke. Insects are very dangerous for baby birds at the early stage of development they can trouble the baby. One has to always clean inner side of nest or house so that insect didn’t harm birds. If insect bites the birds it causes to disease.

Good Nutritious food material available in market which help in growth of baby birds. Keep filling feeder with this food material. Once baby bird becomes capable enough, they can find their own food.
